I know its been a while since you wrote this, but when you had this issue, did your car not start because of it?

I am getting a click noise and it wont turn over, checked and its giving me this code p0340 so i'm wondering by replacing the intake camshaft position sensor, will my car then start?

Thanks for any help

A while? Like 3 years???

Your CPS code/issue itself will not render your motor incapable of turning over. Depending upon the short, it might drain your battery. Use the SEARCH function.

Start with the easy stuff. Does your H3 still have the OEM crap battery terminal connectors? Is your battery charged?

Doesn't sound like the same problem I had. Once my car heated up and I turned it off. The engine timing was off and the whole car shook and made a horrible noise when I tried to restart. No subtle clicking. Hope this helps.

Almost any local auto parts store will read codes for you so they can sell you parts.

Have them read the code and go online and see what that code means for your particular vehicle and situation. Don't just start throwing parts at it.

Is there a resonable price code reader available?
