Clogged sun roof drains
Hope it is OK to start a new thread on this subject which is mentioned in so many other places. I thiught it might be helpful to sorta "consolidate" the topic.
I have experienced the problem with a used '07 and my friend has had the problem with his ALPHA. On the '07 the front drivers side was totally plugged and on the ALPHA, both front drains were completely plugged. On both, we poured the shower cleaning product CLEAN SHOWER in the sun roof trays and in a few minutes they started to drain. May not work every time but my experience suggests that this might save a bunch of effort for a lot of owners. Now, every time I service my two rigs, I spray several strokes through the drains until I see some drip from the fender wells and since have had zero problems.
I also discovered that CLEAN SHOWER is great for underhood detailing and cleaning up dirty/ greasy parts (safe for plastics).
And NO, I am not associated with the company that makes the product!

My rear roof drains have been clogged for years! Tried your idea, poured the Clean Shower in the trays, kept watching and they started to drip! Poured hot water down them next, then Clean Shower again. They are now wide open! Thanks for the $2.39 fix!!~~~~joefromnj
Hey Tonya,
Yes, either pour or pump enough into the right and left front corners (with your H3 level) until you see the liquid standing in the tray and just wait. It is also a good idea to repeat the process with the front of the vehicle slightly elevated so that the liquid flows to the rear drains. Best of luck!
