Default Chrome Hooks

Has anyone chromed plated their OEM tow hooks from a plater instead of purchasing aftermarket ones? Just curious to see if it may be cheaper to chrome the ones or buy new ones already chromed. I can get a set locally for around $220.

You really don't want chrome or they will rust in no time. Get Stainless.

Yeah, you're right. Kinda forgot about that. But then again here in AZ it's drier than a 80 year old nun.

I'll get the stainless ones.

thx

Most of my stuff is either stainless or plated ABS.

All I want to do is get the chrome hooks, lower grill insert, HUMMER chrome letters for the front and thinking about the chrome bezels for the fog lights. Don't know about the last, pondering that one.

Blasphemy!!!!! [sm=pcwhack.gif] I don't give a rat's butt if you use it, he left in a huff over a brewhaha??
I don't think rust is allowed in AZ, against the law I'm pretty sure. Stainless is better and you can get a full set for the 3 at less than $220.00 pgaduane. Check ebay.

No such thing as rust here. Only on cars that move here from back east..... I'll keep my eyes open for a set and get them on. It's begging for them....
