H3 Oil Change with Pictures I will make one suggestion based upon my observations. When you remove the drain plug, have your drain pan in your free hand lifted up close to thedrain holeway over to the side towards the driver side front tire. That stuff comes out sideways at first and can make a big mess if you are not ready for that.
After the first quart or two, you can set it down and be ok.

I went with synthetic for the first time. I also changed my own oil for the first time in MANY years. It really was a breeze, probably 30 min. tops and I was not in any hurry. Probably spent more time cleaning up after than actually doing the work.
