The chrome hooks on the front of my H3 are pitted and dinged up from road debris and salt. Is there a good place that re-chromes these things? I have looked around a bit on the net and found new sets from $250-$300. I don't want to spend that much cash on new ones. Any of you chrome haters, and I know there's a few of you, want to sell me your's? If you do, let me know. Maybe we can deal.....

 

You can get polished Stainless Steel on ebay for much less (like $150.00 ish) andSS is nearly impervious. Chrome might work in the south, but road salt up north will chew them up. [&o]

 

I would suggest Ebay. You can also post on the "wanted" classified section of the forum.

 

Unfortunately, that's why I MOSTLY strip the Chrome from my Princess in the winter!!

She's pretty much OEM from late November - March!!!

After the 1st year of REPLACING Chrome, I learned my lesson!!![8D]

 

Most of my stuff is Stainless including the hooks. Chrome plated ABS plastic holds up well too.
