Going from 265 to 285's is no problem at all. Your speedo will only be out very little, not enough to even worry about IMO. You will not need to lift your front end at all. 315 75 R16 will fit on stock wheels. They recommend an 8" wheel however it will work fine. In most cases with a 315 you will need to raise the front to avoid rubbing.

NJTEX,
Go with the 285's you will not regret it. I put new tires on in March and I am already considering moving up to
315's

It would be best if they are on 8" rims, the factory ones are 7 1/2" wide but they are perfectly fine on them. Lots of guys run them that way.

Sounds good, now where are the pics?

Here are some pics. 315-75/16 Goodyear MTR with Kevlar Tires on stock rime. I have an old 315-75/16 Goodyear Mtr for the spare. The tires are remarkably quiet for the type of tire it is. So far so good. I bought them for my upcomming trip to Sedona AZ, Moab UT, and Breckenridge CO in August.

Very nice Oruna!

I'm going with 285 DuraTracs (and tire rotations every oil change) this time around. UPS tracking shows delivery tomorrow, can't wait to get rid of our old scalloped/baldies!

I have these MTR's mounted on a spare set of wheels I bought on e-bay for $240 shipped to my door. I then bought I more on e bay for the spare. My 285 Bridgestones are on the factory chrome wheels that I got with the car. After my trip I'll switch back to the Bridgestones and use the Goodyears whenever I go wheeling. I think I would have bought the Duratracs too if I only had one set to live with. They look really good. Let us know how they are. Good luck.
