Default Changing out tranny and 4x4 fluid service

Hey guys

My vehicle needs a tranny and 4x4 differential fluid change. I've changed out fluids before on other vehicles, but my H2 is still new to me. Should I take it in for service and let them do it or should I go ahead with it myself?

I was planning on using Wix filter and gasket and using Mobil synthetic for my fluids (I use Mobil and Wix on my other vehicles).

Thanks

Wix and Mobil1 are great products.

So is doing the change myself easy? Is there anything unique to H2's that I should be aware of?

It's pretty much the same as any other vehicle, nothing unique about servicing an H2.
Are you going to drop the tranny pan and change the filter or just do a drain and refill?
If you drop the pan remember that the OEM trans pan gasket is reusable.

Changing the filter and fluid. Reusable gasket? Really?

Yes you will see the OEM gasket is rubber and steel and it is reusable over and over.

2's are very easy to change all the oils. Save the money and do it yourself. I use Mobil 1 for all my vehicles and their fluids with usually a Mobil 1 oil filter.
