Yah, in fact I think I have the very same model as you and am planning on mounting it in the same spot. It's been a really long project in as much as the shop I asked to fab me a bracket for my roof has been "working" on it for three mnths...

Currently I'm just running a handheld that plugs in the cig lighter and has an optional connection for an external antenna (not using that for now). Advantages are it runs off the H3 power (no fear of batteries going dead), but has the option of switching to batteries for use outside the truck. Disadvantages are it has typical handset range - good enough for trail rides if people are close, and as the handset is larger than just a mic it's not a permanent clean install (which may be an advantage?).

What I'd like to do eventually is replace my stock stereo with a single DIN unit and small CB w/front facing speaker like the Cobra 18 WX ST II. Hopefully a good stereo shop can come up with some kind of 2 x single DIN mount and make it a clean install.

First random photo google found showing what I have in mind:

I'd like to swap the stereo antenna with a CB antenna and use an electronic splitter to separate AM/FM from CB, but I'm afraid that may lead to poor performance so I'll probably just add a CB antenna opposite the stereo antenna.
