flyfish, I had Bassani on my Mustangs that I had and I like the sound and craftmenship. Here is what I have as far as a picture, I like the fact the muffler is NOT by the hitch assy.

Good to know, thanks for the pics. I would probably not use the tips, looks like they stick out a little to far for my taste. I am really trying to minimize chrome on my truck. I agree about not having the muffler near the bumper. I guess the only other concern I have is how the install will be seeing as how there are no existing hangers for the drivers side pipe? Any idea? I also want the deepest, not loudest system available, think this is the way to go?

If you look at the Gibson on from the previous thread you will see it is similiar and in the same location, I don't forsee a problem there. Also the Tips are slip on and bolted , you can adjust them as to how far you want them to stick out. The reason I like the Bassani is that if I don't like the sound you can swap in a flowmaster, Spintech, Magnaflow, Aeroexhaust, Borla, Gibson, Jones/Fullboarexhaust, Dynomax, Heartthrob, CherryBomb etc.. with a 1 in 2 out 2.5" pipe.

Thats all you could come up with for muffler brands? Just kidding, more than enough options obviously. Can you swap in a new muffler with the stock H3 exhaust without any welding or other mods? Would it make a significant power or sound increase? If you can, which would you suggest? I've looked at the flowmaster cans online, but they just use a stock photo and I don't know if it will just bolt on.

You can just replace the stock can if you like, it's all up to WHAT YOU WANT, wether you can avoid welding, doubt it, sound change, it will, performance, maybe a little. I prefer a clean replacement when possible and hope it meets my expectations.

Putting the header on was like pulling the dry cleaning bag off from over the head of my 3.7... I tried both the Volant and Borla cat-backs and neither made any noticeable difference, except for the unbearable drone in the cabin. I run the Volant CAI on the intake side. JM2C. [&:]
