Can I modify Onstar to use my cell?

I have not put it in the H3 yet, because I didnt want to deal with Onstar till my free trial ran out. From what I read it should not be a problem worst case sceanario is that I will have to have the service department hook up to it and reprogram it. Thats only if I want to retain the onstar functions
