Brake light voltage in trailer pluck
I got a funny gift from a friend of mine. A skull hitch cover with lights in the eyes. I want to connect it to the wires which go to the trailer socket and use the skull like a brake light. My problem is, I can't find a voltage in the trailer socket while pressing the brake pedal. Which pole carries the brake light signal? On the cover of the outlet there is a pole named electric brake but even there I can't find any voltage if I put my tester on this pole and ground.
Thanks in advance for your help!

It has the 7 way outlet. I thought the brown would be for the tail lights. But anyways, shouldn't I find any voltage in the socket while braking? I find voltage between ground and +. I find the voltage for tail lights, indicators ... what I don't find is the brake signal. Might sound stupid but can it be between left and right indicator signal? I thought this because in the 4 way plug you would not have any brake signal because all pins are occupied. Two by indicators, one by tail light and the ground. Or do I have a bug in my trailer socket??
