The 1997 h1 i am getting ready to purchase needs a serious brake job. could anyone help my understand the cost for a brake job? can this be performed by any brake place or does it need to be done by a specialist?

The obvious answer is it depends. Do the calipers need to be rebuilt or just pads and a rotor turn? Do the rotors need to be replaced? A simple brake service will run about $300 for the front and $300 for the rear. That includes pads, labor and turning rotors. Many shops will not work on H1 brakes since they are inboard.

 

Thanks, i was affraid that I would be limited on finding someone to work on the brakes. I live in a fairly small place.
