Default Cost of a H3 brake job

What is a fair price for front and rear pads plus installation? It's about that time for my 06 and I feel like whenever a shop sees a Hummer pull in, they jack up the price.

Front brakes are extremely simple. Should be able to change pads and slides for about 50-100 dollars. Back ones unsure. Did the front in parking space in about 1 hour each side.

The rear is even more simple because you just remove the 2 caliper bolts and push the piston in, what are you doing with your rotors? When I worked at firestone that would be a 2.5 hour just pads at $95 an hour and parts $170ish.

I dunno where you guys are going but I did my own brakes and had never done it before. Dealer wanted 1200 bucks for rotors and pads installed and I got all new drilled rotors and ceramic pads for 235 bucks. Saving a grand was well worth learning how to do it.

X2 to what Berulakide says.

I did new pads on all 4 corners (rotors were fine) in about an hour and a half, in my driveway.
It was the easiest brake pad replacement that I have ever done.

Check Rockauto.com for pad options. AC Delco OEM pads are about $200 total for both sets from them. Dealer list is $362.
MY OEM's lasted over 63k miles. I replaced them with more OEM's.

I just got new rotors and pads for the front, lifetime warranty and it was $427. Idk if that was good or bad. They said the rear were fine but i would need pads prob in a few months, idk if its true or not. I got new rotors and pads on the rear form GM less then 2 years ago. Idk how much pads last.
