Blowing Power Door Lock Fuse
I pulled my H1 out to drive this weekend and every time I hit the unlock button on my keyless remote the 20amp power door lock fuse under the steering wheel column blows.
If I replace the fuse, and I hit the lock and unlock button in the car everything continues to work. But as soon as I hit unlock on the remote transmitter the fuse blows and power door locks stop working.
Any help would be appreciated

If you can lock/unlock the doors from the inside switches all day long and there is no blowing fuses and then you only blow the fuse when the button on the keyless remote is used then i would also agree with humtech that is is a short internally in the module.
The keyless remote entry module is in the doghouse. It's a box about the size of a pack of cigarettes. Call hummer parts guy- HPG.
This is the module for 1999-2006 Hummer Parts Guy | HUMMER H1 6012317
This is for 1994-1998 trucks

Really appreciate the help. I will tackle this tomorrow and report back. Another buddy of mine said it could also be the switches in center console that control the windows and window lock. He told me that they are in the same circuit. Not sure if that's correct but I'll try my options tomorrow.
Quick update. Interior door locks worked fine. I noticed that all the interior lights were not working. Checked the fuse and it was blown as well. I put in a new fuse and it immediately blew. So definitely knew I had a short somewhere.
I end up removing the interior dome lights. Put in a fuse and it doesn't blow. I narrow it down to a short in the center/middle interior dome light. There are 2 blue wires which I think supply power. When both wires are connected, fuse immediately blows. I disconnect one of the blue wires and dome light still works and fuse is fine.
So I put the dome light back together without one of the blue wires. I have no idea where that blue wire goes but all the interior lights work fine and the keyless unlock works fine.
That blue wire has to go somewhere to provide power to something. But for now if it isn't
broke, don't fix it.
