I purchased an '04 H2 and the passenger side upper shock hoop failed. The truck has a Fabtech 6" lift on it, but whoever did the original set up used either a custom build or other manufactured upper hoop. I have replaced the upper hoops with Fabtech and the new ball joints that came with the kit are giving me an installation problem. The castle nuts that are included when inserted won't allow a socket to tighten them to spec.

The nut is very close to a "dimple" in the inside top of the knuckle and it won't allow me the room to get a socket around it.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so, any suggestions to overcome it? Fabtech suggested a washer but before I go that route I wanted to see what others have done.
