In that case i think i would look good if you match the paint with the truck the flat throw it off.

Gloss black / body color is the way to go. Especially with your gloss black wheels, it would really tie it all together. I think flat/satin black grills only look their best with lighter or contrasting colors.

Other ideas:

1. What about doing a gloss black, body color grill and then installing an aluminum color mesh panel behind the grill so your grill openings match your silver wheel trim?
2. While you're getting your grill painted gloss black, what about doing the metal parts of the front and rear bumpers in gloss black too? That's something the H3x doesn't even have!

I saw one on ebay, but I don't want to pay for something & wait for it to be shipped that I'm going to have to do the same chit to as what I could just get at autozone or some place like that

That's what I was talking about. The mesh would be good on your rig painted gloss black too.

pshopped a photo a lil bit to make the grill darker, can't get it to look glossy (go figure, it was flat grey in real life)

I think if you paint it to match your vehicle color, it will look really cool. I plan on getting mine painted to match too. Let me know what it costs if you do decide to paint it to match.
