Back-up camera Duex
We posted this before but the Search feature isn't helping me![:@]
For the second time in the past 6 months I have backed up into a car. The rear visability in the H3 is horrible!
I picked up a back-up camera at Walmarts for $98. The directions are very vague. I recall someone tapped the trailer hitch harness for a back-up lead for the trailer lights. Any one remember what the wire color is?
Is there a full time hot wire in the rear so I can have the camera full time?

You will not want the power on for the camera full time, it tends to shorten the life of the unit.
I tapped into the license plate light for my power. This gave me the ability of being able to manually turn it on by using the headlights.

Bob:
According to this thread??? Which wire is for back-up lights
Page 4-69 of the Owner's Manual has some info:
The trailer towing harness contains the following seven trailer circuits:
• Yellow: Left Stop/Turn Signal
• Dark Green: Right Stop/Turn Signal
• Brown: Taillamps
• White: Ground
• Light Green: Back-up Lamps
• Red: Battery Feed
• Dark Blue: Trailer Brake
I would check it through the trailer plug with a cucuit tester. Light Green and your camera comes on in reverse, Red...all the time???
