Default Back up camera

Looking to add a backup camera to a 2006 H3. With that said, any suggestions?

Happy with factory stereo so don't wont to replace that.

Also, what about monitor location?

Thanks ahead of time.

not many options if u dont wana replace the factory unit but u can buy a wireless unit for $100 and they are sold at walmart or target. dont no much about them. the screen plugs into a cig socket and the camera is powered by the lights in the back. if u are looking for a gps unit thats portable the garmin nuvi 5000 can have a back up camera added to that so u can buy any camera u want and run the wires to the front unit but u will need a a/v cable sold by garmin to do that. that was my set up till my unit got stolen or another unit is the pioneer avic f500bt which is portable and thats what i have now.then i have a audiovox camera mounted near the license plate. i was happy with my factory 6 disc monsoon system and did not wana spend the grand to update by the time u buy the new unit and the the harness for onstar and the new attena adapter and the mount kit u are at about $1,000 ig u go to pioneer site it says the unit i have is a suggested retail of $600 but recently discontinued i picked it up for $186 shiped and the thing is awsome. it is just like the other avic's but portable and i guess people wanted the built in units. good luk

Maybe get the 2009 H3 back up camera and the rear view mirror has the monitor? Not sure if it would just plug in though. Wouldn't hurt to ask the stealership for a price installed.

I found a company that adds a module to the factory radio (with screen) it's www.avelectronic.com. I think the module is about $325.00 but it will work with the H3 radios.
