Default Back door rattles

Since I put the new 20" rims and 33" tires on the back door with the spare tire when I hit bumps the whole door rattles has anyone had this problem??

Dumb question? But did you tighten it down enough?

I do, and I have deduced that the issue is the extreme amount of weight on the door versus the original wheel and tire combo. I run 18" SPYs wrapped with 295/70 Trail grapplers which are ten ply. My wheel and tire combo weighs 100+ lbs.

I do not think it is a dumb question..... I would check that whoever mounted the spare has it properly lined up with the studs and that the lug nuts are tightened into the wheel lug nut pockets. It is easy to slap the spare on there and snug the lug nuts in a way that they do not pull the wheel straight onto the mount. For that matter, check to see all three lug nuts were used. Get it a bit crooked and it will make a racket.

You might want to stand in back and tug on the door handle watching the wheel and looking at door movement.
could be the door latch was ok with old, lighter tire ??
adjust for a snug fit.

try removing the spare and making sure the 4 bolts that hold the tire carrier on are tight. Then reinstall the tire/rim and sung everything down.

you may also try the jack in the door. sometimes they tend to rattle if not in the proper position and tight.

ralltles suck!

I think it's the locking latch that needs adjusting cause everything is tight but when I close the door I can see the door rattle back and forth a little.
