Default Just bought an 08 - and it RATTLES!

Anyone else have this issue. Just got the truck last night and when i hit accelerate the vibration from the engine creates a number of rattles. Most of them are in the far back, but some in the back seat as well.

anyone have any suggestions? anyone else have this issue?

I like the truck, but the rattle is really bothering me.

My '06 had a ratle when I bought it.
I found it to be the jack handle inside the back door of the truck
was not velcro'ed in tight enough. It kind of sits in a bundle, and it
needs to be tight...

Just a thought....

Are the back seats locked in all the way? Sometimes in my 08 when I putt he seats down and then put them back up it doesn't lock and it can rattle.

My H2 has a rattle under the front end, not sure if I went over the wrong thing and broke something? I had a rattle in the rear a couple years ago but found it was my tire mount (had just moved it outside) the rubber wasn't tight enough to keep the tire from bouncing. Fixed that but don't know what to think about this new front end thing, kinda scarin' me...ideas? Only happens when I accelerate.

Hey everyone, just signed up to the Forum today. Im from Alberta and i have 08 H2, i also have a rattle issue. Its from the front though, it only happens at highway speeds and its taken me months to try and figure out what it could be. I think i have norowed it down to it being the plastic "wind deflector" around the sunroof. I think at high winds it vibrates and starts to "humm" it has become extremely annoying. Has anyone else noticed this with a sunroof visor thing??? thanks!

no probs with that, just whatever is going on underneath there when I acclerate. I wonder if the dealership put everything back together right when I had the oil changed and the hydraulic fluids checked end of fall. I took it back up there last weekend for a good detail, they said they checked it and of course didn't find anything so who knows, it's irritating.

the rattling could be coming from the air covers on the hood of the truck. Try that...I have the issue and numerous people told me to try this, as they had the problem, and worked for them. Unfortunately, did not work for me...Hope this helps.

Do you have a brush guard on the front? We just installed one on the front of our hummer and now we have a rattle at highway speeds too. it sounds like it is coming from the windshield...but I wounder if it is caused by the brushguard being on the front

Tn - No bush gaurd for me sorry, but ya i could see a possible loose bracket causing a guard to rattle a bit for sure, had a issue like that once on a older jeep. Redtank - thanks ill check that out, looked today and the whole peice just below the windshield that surrounds the wiperblades and the 2 corner squares is all one plastic peice. Look closer tmrw in daylight with the hood up and see if a guy can get his fingers under it, maybe theres a way to tighten it.
