Default Audio Question

Hey whats up guys, yes i know i should of used the search function first but it makes it easyer for me this way since this will probably be my only post. My friend has a hummer h3 and wants me to install 2 15's in it for him. For a few questions before i start going at the deck this weekend, does the stock deck come with rca plugins? If not i have an rca adapter which leads me to my next question. Could i just use the rca adapter and attach it to the stock sub instead of the 2 rear door speakers? this would make it alot easyer on my part and make the instal way more clean. Ive been installing audio systems in friends cars for years but never a hummer so i know im a noob when it comes to hummers but was just curious before i start taking to much out to learn that it wont work lol.

thanks in advance!

Chris

edit: I believe its an 07 model

I would consult your local radio shop for the install. If you have been installing radio for years, then you would know that ALL factory radios do not come with RCA plugs.

You would need RCA adapters. I would recommend that you get all your connections at the radio head and run your cables back.

15's are OVERKILL, never mind two of them,on a stock hummer radio system unless you plan on replacing the radio & both factory amps (2). Have you ever worked on a car with factory amps before? One crossed wire and you will own them and have to replace them.

Next you be saying your buying your stuff off Ebay LOL!!

Yeah your right about some things. Most of the cars i have worked on before involved 90's toyotas and hondas which are like legos (laugh all you want ) so ive never really looked into stock amp setups before. I got my straight foward answer so thanks guys. I know i messed up by saying rca plug ins in the back of the amp, i ment it another way but it came out wrong (it was early and i had been up all night) so sorry but thanks for the answer! This will be my final post so theres no need to reply to this Im going to do alot more research on the wiring setups for hummers before i touch anything lol. but thanks again

Chris
