anti pinch
ORIGINAL: adventureguy
After we had purchased our 07 H3 the sales guy came out and went through some things on the H3 that we were unfamiliar with. Well we got to the sunroof and he was explaining the how the anti pinch works. So he told my wife to hit the close button on the sunroof and then he put his hand in the path of the sunroof. His hand was butted right up against the front part of the window opening. So the sunroof got closer, and closer and closer and then almost folded his fingers backwards while it shut on them.He had a few explicit words and bent over holding his hand and then there was a long awkward silence of about 20 seconds. I then said "That look like it hurt!" My wife couldn't help laughing after I said that. The sales guy turned bright red. He said let's try that again. So my wife opened the window back up and hit the close buttonAGAIN, this time the sales guy was putting his hand in the path of the window like it was hot (you know how you tap something very fast to see if it is hot). It was quite comical! Mywife and I livean hour away from the dealership and laughed about it all the way home. I am stilling chuckling about while typing.
The rest of the time he was explaining things to us I couldn't help but replay that in my head with his fingers almost folding backwards.
Anyway I have seen the window first hand (no pun intended)close on somebody's hand in the way and that motor on the sunroof is very strong. I would give it a 10 on the 4 letter word scale.

Don't know about the sun roof, but I did enjoy adventureguy salseman story!!!! Close that sun roof mam, and I'll stop it with my manly bear hands!!!

Isn't tho whole anti-pinch window gig based upon the direction of window switch movement? You have to lift up on the switch to make the window go up so Fido and the little kids do not stick their heads out the window and accidentally press a switch causing the widow to go up????? and choke??????? I won't be leaving any body parts in my window's path to test the anti-pinch

I also forgot to add that the second time the salesguy tried making the anti pinch work on the sunroof it took 4 to 5 times of passing his hand in front of it for it to work.
