Default Another one bites the dust

Installed a CSF all aluminum radiator about 20k miles ago. Yesterday while installing snorkel I notice coolant dripping. Sure enough there is a leak mid way up on back side on the left. Can’t see the actual spot of the leak because the sides are enclosed. Fortunately I saved my plastic aftermarket radiator so I put it back in.

While I was at it I replaced my 12” generic pusher fan with a 16” spal pusher fan. Little louder than the 12” but moves a lot more air.

CSF is gonna have to get there act together. I have read about several having the same issues but gambled because of the deal I got. Hopefully it is repairable. Thankfully I did not pay any where near full amount as it was new in box but second hand.

Your CFS radiator has a warranty, pull the serial # off the bottom, dig out you purchase paperwork and make a warranty claim through the seller you bought it from. They may want a couple pictures of the leak that show you did not bash into something/cause the leak w/ abuse.

They will send you a brand new replacement. Then you take the leaker to a local radiator specialist, and they fix it. Been there, done that.

I had pretty much made up my mind that when my OEM radiator took a dump that I would replace it with a CSF, but after reading more and more of the problems, I guess they're not as bulletproof as the price would lead you to believe.

The guy I bought it from had two leak on him. They sent him a third one but never installed I bought it so no warranty. I will see if local shop can repair but from others experience I am not too optimistic.
