Default Alpha Posessed Windshield Wipers

OK for starters I am not crazy. About 3 weeks ago I was driving down the road and out of the blue after driving about 15 minutes my wipers decided to make one single pass across my window. I figured it was just a fluke and laughed it off. Well about 3 days ago the same thing happened. Has anyone else had this happen?

Default intermittent wipers

this could be connected.
my pontiac trans sport had intmt wiper operation.

i got a junkyard motor assm,,same thing.

the electronics is in the motor assm and the pins for the connector are soldered into the circuit board. the pins flex and crack the THIN solder on the board. i resoldered with lots of solder, all pins on both and its been solid since.

if the motor is pulled to check, UNHOOK the batt cause if you barely move the shaft the motor may try to rotate once and mangle your hand,,,experience!!

im just guessin

Yes!!! My H3 has done that three times over the past year. I took it to the Hummer dealership and they couldn't find the problem. I guess that I'm going to have to deal with it...

Happens every once in a while. Can not find any common reason why it does. Dealership is stumped.

Has anyone successfully fixed this issue?

The wiper control module, under the grill has been known to get water into it causing some strange problems. Was a big problem with early H3s. I had the problem with an 06 and replaced the module and it went away. My 08 has never displayed this problem. The supplier was supposed to fix the manufacturing problem and it SHOULD have been fixed for 07 and later. But I do say SHOULD.

I am having this problem currently (just started today!) with my 05 H2. Front wipers wouldn't turn off while the motor was running then, as an added bonus, the rear wiper and washer started going at full speed and wouldn't stop until I turned off the hummer. There is another thread on here dealing with this issue just search wipers. It gives good advice.
