Go in your manual and look under scheduled maintenance and additional required services. Nothing there stated about this 35k diff fluid change.
If your dealer tried to "sell" you this, I would look for another dealer!

Thanks again Taint, and also for the link to the online manual. No the dealer nor any repair shop didnt try to sell me anything. I know most trucks with locking diffs either have their diff fluids replaced either 35k or 50k miles. You see our truck does not state in the manual when to replace in mileage terms, As if the fluid would last the life of the truck. This fluid is just like any other fluid in your vehicle, it gets extremely hot/ breaks down a bit and collects metal shavings in the housings from wear. For the price of getting a full synthetic oil change, its worth doing so at least once in the trucks life time. So either 35k or 50k would be perfect, Remember its not a super everlasting fluid.
