I am so glad I have found this HAVEN of knowledge. I have owned my '06 H2 for a few years now and at times have had issues trying to find information or replacement parts for it. I am writing today about shocks. The previous owner had installed some adjustable Rancho shocks all around and they now need replacing. I do minimal off road driving. I am not looking for anything fancy, just a good replacement. I have read so many reviews about so many brands my head is spinning. Bilstein, Monroe and Rancho are some names I have come across or have heard about quite a bit. Has anyone had any experience with a product they are happy with? Also, I keep seeing recommendations about a steering stabilizer...is this worth looking into? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

 

I have Bilsteins and they are very strong shocks. I think most guys on board have Bilsteins. I don't go off roading but a lot of guys on this board do.

 

I would do Bilstein shocks and their direct bolt on stabilizer.

 

I always say this every time it comes up...
If you get the bilstein stabilizer and then your H2 starts to pull to the right, return it. I had this happen. The stabilizer acts as a shock & not a dampener (which it what it should be). I'm mentioning this because I thought I was crazy, till i read more reviews. I wasn't the only one.
