Default Aries / Warn combo - advice needed

My wife has officially blessed (and made funds available) my purchase of a brush guard and winch.

After much research I have decided to go with the Warn Power Plant winch and (most likely) the Aries brush guard with winch mount, see links below.

Winch - http://www.warn.com/powerplant.shtml

Brush Guard - http://www.gstyle4u.com/.sc/ms/dd/ee...%20HUMMER%20H3

I called the very friendly people at Gstyle yesterday to inquire about this combo and the gentleman was very nice and told me he would put those exact items on the website (they had not previously been available as a package). He did just that and I went today to check it out.

I am in no way trying to disrespect Gstyle, like I said, they have wonderful customer service and seem to want to go out of their way to help, however their prices are a bit higher than I found elsewhere. The price of both items on Gstyle is $2304.95, so i did some research andfound numerous places offering the winch for substantially lessby purchasing it seperately and ordering the guard at $379.95 I wrote to them with the links (winch for 1199.99 on ebay with $40 shipping and $1299.95 with free shipping from a company online). If they can come close I will surely do buisness with them simply because they are sponsors and were genuinely friendly.

Now to my questions.

1. Has anyone put this combination together? If so, what do you think?
2. What kind of sag/weight problems might I encounter with the additions (I already plan new shocks and torsion bar adjusts when I get the items to help some)?
3. I am pretty much set on the winch, I would consider a different brush guard and welcome advice on that if anyone knows of something that might pair better with the Power Plant winch.

Thanks in advance for you insight. I am really looking forward to this purchase.

The addition of a winch/bumper will eventully add some sag to your front end if it doesn't do it right away. You can adjust that out.

Looks like it might effect your approach angle.

I would like to avoid messing with the approach angle. Any recommendations on a combo that will work and still allow the winch I want to be used?

Thanks for the continued help.

Any winch mount will affect the approach anglea bit, no matter what they advertise. The problem is if you want to use the PowerPlant then you need to get a mount that sits in front of the grill, due to the size of the winch. And those integrated ones tend to sit lower due since they only mount using the tow hook bolts.

What kind of wheeling do you do? Do you hit your tow hooks at all? If not, then the affect on the approach angle probaly won't be a big deal. And if you swap out to a synth line and aluminum fairlead you'll get some of that back plus lighten things up a bit.

I live in SE Arizona and most of the off roading I do is dry, rocky terrain and so far I am not taking the real rough trails because I have only Rock Slides and no undercarriage protection at the moment. I have never hit front shackles or for that matter really bottomed badly. I do want to take more rough areas hence the brush guard and winch. Almost all the trails I take are full of bushes/trees that have thorns. If I venture off path the brush guard will be a must, I have ventured off path a few times and winced a few times thinking I would have Arizona Pinstriping, but so far the scratches have come right out.

Thanks for responding.
