ADVICE NEEDED
Hello everyone this my first time to make a post.Great site.Im finally going to get chance to buy my 2008 H2 Suv.Ive been looking all over the nation for a preowned one. What advice could you guys give me what should I watch out for?Another question are native California Hummers have a restricted exhaust system or have additional emissions equipment that would decrease performance or fuel economy? What kind of mileage do theseHummers get I heard 12mpg.Your help will be greatly appreciated Thankyou!
hello bowtie,
the california sold hummers do not have restricted exhaust or any thing differant than the other 49 state vehicles. the mileage can be anywhere from 12-14 depending how you drive, which is no differant than the GM trucks with the same power plant.
right now i would look at dealerships for 08 hummers that they have sitting on their lots for sale. you can pick one up cheaper than a used one and the warranty date starts from when you purchase it.
as far as what to look out for i would not buy one that has been customized or has too much aftermarket stuff added to it. these vehicles have a lot of computers that talk to each other and they don't like things plugged into them. it causes issues with runability and engine lights to come on. get a hummer that fits your needs, if you are going off road, towing with it or it is just going to be a go to the mall, don't over buy something that you will never use.
i know people that have paid for the upgraded nav system and air suspenion and have never used it.
good luck......
