Default Added LED's to Driving lights

So my new DRL's arrived and look awesome but I decided they were not bright enough so off to Amazon I went.

I ordered 4 JDM ASTAR 1200 Lumens Extremely Bright 144-EX Chipsets and all i can say is holy crap these things are bright and white! I'm not a tech guy so I don't know what all the numbers mean but I purchased these because the bulb has a built in projector in the center.

You can see my truck coming a mile away. I added these to the back up lights too.....huge improvement! I don't know if the projector part is the difference maker or what but I sure would like to have brake lights this bright too....

I also added Ultra Vision Sylvania headlight bulbs. They are not as bright or white as the DRL's but a huge jump up from the stock ones.

Hi Tim, could you please tell me which exact bulbs you bought for the DRL and were they a simple drop in ? (do you have a link there are several versions on amazon for instance). Am weighing up replacing the whole assembly with trucklites, as my existing replacement LED Bulbs aren't bright enough for me.

thx

Badfox,
I went the way LoJac didnt originally on mine
I bought 6000 HID headlights 35w (but honestly now I wish I would have bought the 55w), then bought 3157 CAN LED lights for the DRLs.
The direct replacement I belive is 4114, but they are hard to find and the 3157s are pretty bright.

(I had 4114 in my truck, they were amazing... for about 30 seconds, then they faded away and then only one worked.)

I personally gave up after that and got a set of Pilot 3157 CAN LED lights and havent had a problem since

Amazon part:

JDM ASTAR 1200 Lumens Extremely Bright 144-EX Chipsets 3056 3156 3057 3157 LED Bulbs with Projector , Xenon White

GM DRL assemply:

General Motors, LAMP, 15258697

LED's were a direct fit. I've had zero issues with them. I did purchase some different LED's for tail lights and they were complete junk, so next go around I will stick with JDM.
