Hello everyone.

Have a new to me 2005 H2 with 176,xxx km. the abs & tcs light comes on after driving a few blocks. I have noticed it comes on while just driving and not when on the brakes. Vehicle is not displaying any codes. Light goes off when vehicle restarted.

Any ideas?

 

How do you know the truck isnt giving codes? Do you have a techII? Or some deep scanner?
Apparently, most scanners dont get as deep into the scan as they need to and so you dont get a full read on your truck.

 

My scanner did not pick anything up and my mechanic who was a master mechanic at one of the best hummer dealership in the past can not detect any codes.

 

Hey Pug my abs & tcs light use to come on at times as well and like you said goes off when the truck is restarted. Mine hasn't came back on though in months so I haven't worried about it. Let us know if you find out anything though.

 

Mechanic spent more time and found a code that he had never seen before. Long story short when previous owner was installing stereo he forced it in and broke the yoke that is in the centre console. This is part of the abs system. Part has been ordered.

Could you find out how he was able to find that code, where before he wasnt able ?

(not saying anything bad, I just want to know the scanner that was able to scan that deep or deeper)
