Hi all,

Can someone help me figure out the potential cause of this squeaking noise? It happens when idling or driving, not very consistent, comes and goes.

Thanks for replying! I just tried WD40, didn't help. It actually made the squeaking louder. But I noticed the rad fan pulley is shakey and misaligned. See video below:


Looks like it needs to be replaced. Should I replace the belt at the same time? Currently at 58k miles.

 

Remove belt and check for play in the water pump pulley. I found play in mine, perhaps too late because the fan clutch was a bit sloppy too. It's reasonable that one exacerbates the other. Replaced both in mine and now no noises.
