Hi all, did not find any specific info in the manual or from a search.

As stated, 2007 H3- Luxury model, NO idea what Alarm it is. My issue is every so often after I disarm and start the truck when I put my truck in reverse I hear a slight car horn beep right when it goes in reverse, just one quick beep. Its not the longer beep you hear to tell you the alarm had gone off, this just happens when I put the car in reverse. If I put the car back into park, then reverse again it will do the beep again. Note that I do not have any type of backup system, I do have Onstar but no backup mirror or system.

Any idea, anyone have a link for info on the alarm that came with it stock? I've changed the alarm key battery, check all connections, I'm going to see if any codes come up after I get the device for it. It happens maybe once a week, just concerned.

 

Guessing you bought your 3 used? More then likely the previous owner installed some sort of module for a back up alert.

Hi, just wanted to see if anyone has any other ideas for this issue. The alarm was randomly beeping then going off, sometimes the locks would engage then un-engage when I try to lock it. I was driving the other day and I noticed when I tap the steering wheel the alarm dings and the doors locks all open then close again. It must be a short, I had them rework the ignition key before (year ago) as it was defective, any ideas what this may be?

edit- On a side note, if I have to manually lock the truck how on earth do I lock the back hatch, don't see anything related in google except with the power lock issues?

Not much help but I would suggest downloading wiring diagram for door locking system and start tracing wires. If all is good then it is probably in bcm.

 

Remove any and all aftermarket alarm and related component from your vehicle first. This will include any backup/reverse alarm.

 

Your issue is aftermarket alarm related, not an H3 problem. Good luck.
