finally runs...
Picked up the Hummer yesterday. The problem was many but the most important part that failed was the FICM. (fuel injection control module). It was first told to us that the part would be 700+, it turned out to be 1300+. we originally sent this out to be repainted. When the paint was finished we went to pick it up and the battery was dead. We replaced the batteries and still no start. We had it towed to a garage. They found the primer pump to be leaking fluid out around the pump. I believe that unit was 700+. after the tech figured out he had power going into the ficm and none coming out he replaced the unit. Great the Hummer starts, but runs erratic. further diagnosis, the mass air flow sensor was fried, literally, it looked like ether was sprayed into the air and a possible backfire happened, the unit was white in places. Oh another 400+. Diagnosis, parts and labor contributed to a 3600 repair. Want to thank those who did repond to this post and hopefully the info provided will help anyone in the future with the same problem, thanks
