Hey Guys,
First off let me thank everyone for sharing the tons of knowledge, lessons learned and great pics of some great rides.

This is the first thing to ever go wrong with my H2. I've got the pegged speedometer syndrome. It's way past the 120 mph mark. All of the others appear to be working fine.

So, there are a couple of really good videos on YouTube as well as a couple of good posts on here about replacing the stepper motors. I'm pretty sure I can make this repair. The part that has me scratching my head is that I have searched amazon, eBay and a couple other sites and they all sell a set of 6 stepper motors. Am I missing something here because it clearly has 7 in the instrument cluster??? Unless maybe the tachometer doesn't use one??? I did find where you can buy just 1 on eBay, but I'm thinking since I'm going to have it all apart, I might as well go ahead and put the upgraded stepper motors in, especially since this is a known GM problem. 4 on the right side, speedo, tach, and 1 on the left side??? Why only 6 in all of these kits?

Any recommendations for or against any of the kits out there??? I kind of like the one from China that includes the blue LED lights with it...for $14.99....kind of scares me though. I'll gladly pay more for quality.

I used the kit from Mr. Speedometer I think. It was also one motor short but I don't remember which one I left. It included a few bulbs too. Just make sure you get the better motors, its not that big of an expense but not worth doing twice. I kept the stock lights as I did not want to have to replace everything, ie radio, wheel controls etc.
