08' H2 & Upgrades
Well Guys, I SOLD the 03' today for 19k. I thought that was a pretty good price for it (for me & the buyer), it has definitely been a Great Truck. I can only hope my 08' is as problem free! I do know I'll never go back to an older model though, they're like night & day in the difference. jmo
Thanks Guys, I had one guy that came to me & offered 16k cash, I guess he thought I might HAVE to HAVE the money & take his lowball offer but I told him I would keep it before I let it go for that! I know there's a lot of them out there that you can get that cheap but they've either got high miles or been abused & I knew mine had been pampered, I don't know about you guys but it pisses me off when someone trys to lowball you & hope you have to have the money. I have a son that just turned 15 & I was going to give it to him (hell, I think I was still riding a bicycle when I was 15) But, can you believe he said he would rather have a Z71! It seems like that is what ALL these boys want these days is those Z71 trucks. But he is a Great Kid, & that what's we'll probably end of getting him. Anybody know of any good used ones for sale, Lol!
Damn this tread opened my eyes a little. I have a clean 03 with low miles for a 03 as it just turned 70,000 not long ago. But now I really want to check out the 08-09, even though I know Any H2 is a great rig. Be it a 03 or -07 or -09 they all still do what I want it too off road, granted I do like the brut man cave interior of the old ones. But great thread
Paul, I Promise you if you ever drive an 08' or 09' you'll NEVER go back (jmo) unless you want one with a lot less power & a big difference in comfort! I LOVED my 03' but when I drove the 08', well I Bought it! Now, only if it's as trouble free as the 03' was then I'll probably never buy anything else.
Trust my I'm sure you are right Matt. I have been driving my 09' Maxima to work this week, I haven't really driven it much because of the Hummer and A) forgot how quick that thing is. B) it feels like a go cart now.
Drove the Hummer lastnight and wow SLOWWWWWW and the steering input left something to be desired, granted I'm climbing under that tomorrow to do the idler arm and what not. I hope that helps the sloppy steering. All in All I still love the Hummer and wouldn't give it up for anything but another Hummer

I agree. There a balance that the H2 seems to have for me. I was looking at the h1 for a minute till I realized that I need room for my kids and the step daughter as well. No h1 there. I wanted the offroad capabilities but something bigger than a jeep. The wife doesn't like the look for the land rover/range rover. So h2 fits the bill. If the 08 improved on its only sort coming then we are in business. My only problem now it whether I do a second H2 or pick up a H3 for a different flavor of hummer.
Steve don't worry. What ever you end up getting will be sick. I took the 03 rock crawling, mudding, desert running, and splashing in the lake yesterday and it did if like a champ. Heck Friday I drove up to about 7500 feet above see level up in the snow and forests and still had the window down for some fresh air thanks to the heated seats. You will love the hummer.
