new oil sensor, verified oil pressure. goes away when rpms increase so i believe thats due to the low rpms. smoked engine and found various vacuum leaks and fixed all. same issue, give it a lil gas and let off and the engine wants to die and does sometimes? any help please

 

Miles, and did you recently make any other changes or mods?

P0171 is almost always a dirty MAF so start with getting some MAF cleaner and follow the instructions on the can, next vacuum leak downstream from the MAF... but you say you fixed those. Last and least is fuel pump issues, check for low pressure.

The false stalling is almost always from a dirty TB. Clean that (if you have 50k miles or more).

turned out that the big box inbetween air filter and throttle body was leaking all around the seal. and the low idle was the app sensor, replaced and like new. thanks for the help
