Default 03 04 possible money pits ????

During my long search for another hummer I went to this small lot that I knew for sometime now and found that they have 3 trucks 2 03 and 1 04 . One of the 03 (pewter) has 148k and drives And feels solid and the other 03 (yellow) has 128k but I
Think it's in need of some shocks/suspension love among other things . Now the 04 (black beauty) has 160k miles on it and it also feels solid . I'm looking for a truck to keep and put another 100k plus miles on it . What should I wory about on this 2 early year models with this many miles on ????? ...

The reason I'm asking here its because I'm coming from an H3 so my knowledge on H2s it s limited when it comes to knowing what else to look for on trucks this old and also I'm trying to avoid other places since this guy it giving me a price with no interest at all . I'll pay it off in a year or so instead off getting myself on a loan that s goin to take me a lot longer to payoff ....

I would recommend doing a search on this forum. I have read about a few tranny's going out. An issue with them being the cooler failing inside the radiator and the fluids mixing You state you have had one so, they have their common issues. Water inside and climate control actuators.....
Good luck, I think the one that appeals to you the most will make you happiest. They will all need maintenance at some point and if you do all of the things (maint/tune) you can to keep it as it is, it should stay that way

Condition is more important than miles. Get the VINs and have a dealer run the service history for each truck.

With that many miles they might already have had a transmission and hopefully front end repairs like ball joints and so on. I would not be scared of the mileage if the price is right and the vehicle gets an independent inspection.
