Unhappy New / Old H3 owner

Hey, haven't been on this site several years, but I need some help. I got a 07 H3. I have recently had to put the truck in the shop, first to change out the thermostat, then it was the altennator and the under the hood fuse box connectors. Now I having an issue with it you can start the engine and it will drive just fine, but sometimes it will just stall out and when it does the window wipers will come go just about mid window and stop also it will crank, but just as soon as you shift to drive it dies. This will go on for sometime, then it cranks up and drive good. Today while I was out it pulled this, out of frustration I wiggled the Cruise Control, Wiper, Dimmer and Blinker Light Control Stalk. The truck cranked up and drove just fine. Could there be short in the wiring harness with this stalk that could cause this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My mechanic says that the whole main engine wiring harness needs to be replaced, but that doesn't see correct.

I would revisit the Fuse Box. They can be hard to get re-seated correctly.

I moved this for you as tech questions go in the vehicle specific section.

Question: do you have a sunroof? If so, has your passenger side carpet ever been wet?

When was the work done? Did this problem start after the fuse box meddling?

Most mystery problems are fuel or electrical. Since you have had both your alternator and fuse box messed with. Agree with Doc to start in the fuse box and give more details on who and when with the what happend.

Loose connections and short circuits can like opens cause weird situations.
