Hello from Montreal Canda
Hi guys, so basically I become a Hummer H3 owner… If someone would told me that a month ago, I wouldn’t believe it ….
Anyway.. as always I do, I start looking for my winter ride (I have Mustang and Harley for summer). Normally I was riding subarus in winter, basically buying them , fixing nice, using them, then reselling for more than I payed. This year I wanted to get a wrangler- coupe, manual.. but ****, it was ridiculously expensive- to pay more than 10k for vehicle 10 years old- screw it!
And the hummer h3 I got, kinda attract my attention.. I said ****! I always was kinda craving for one, why dint try it for **** sake!? So I end up getting it for 5K in US currency. I was obvious that the speedo was tampered with- it shows 108000KM, but my guess its good 200000KM. its originally sold in Michigan, Lansing (almost birth place of GM ), but most of it hecho in ****ing mexico…. (shame at that time GM was manufacturing bunch of stuff out of country), then imported to Canada. The girl who sold it to me, didn’t take proper care of the vehicle, so it has some issues- like some rust, minor cosmetics, bunch electrical issues.. but I told to myself- the car need a little love that I can give it …. So if I don’t like the way it behave, ill sell it next sprig, without putting to much into it, if I’d like it, ill start to put some $ in it.
So here I’m, mostly for the info, where I can get the parts for less (because our junk yards not exactly overfilled with hummers, and when they hear HUMMER, the price tag go triple or double), also for tips, troubleshoots etc… also interesting to hear other people experiences…..

Welcome to HF.
H3s/3Ts hecho in Louisiana.
Maybe prices jump when you mention Hummer where you are, but here in Detroit, "Hummer" doesn't mean anything special, same as any other GM vehicle. Still see them every day driving around the D and my local pick n pulls have some in their yards.
Have you ever checked car-part.com?
