H3T Rear Seat Problem
My wife just got me a 2009 H3T Alpha (damn I'm good) for my birthday yesterday. Will probably pick it up Wednesday. It's not perfect but overall in good shape. One item that I need to address is the drivers side rear seat back will not fold down. I suspect that the release cable has been stretched or the release mechanism is broken. The reason for that train of taught is that the passenger side releases just fine, the pull handle on the drivers side is extending beyond that of the passenger side one does. Has anyone encountered this problem? Did you fix it? How did you fix it?
Thanks
Thanks
Just spent 30 minutes trying to make the release work. Tried pressing on the face of the seat back hoping to take pressure off of the latch. That was a no go, even tried sitting and pushed back (my leg press is set around 250 pounds) that’s when I tapped out.
I don’t know if the pull release is a cable it rod driven but either way it’s sprong are straightened out.
it Anyone is having the back seat reupholstered please shoot me some pics of that mechanism that shows from the pull loop to where it connects to the latch.

Finally fixed the release problem.
Had to get a small bore camera, wiggled it into the back of the seat just to the left of the headrest. Once I found the release lever, I got me a coat hanger, bent a small J hook on the end. Took several tries but I got it.
The cable was fine. What had happened was (I think) the PO pulled too hard to many times and the on the cable.
Folded down the seat back, remove the headrest and the upholstery on the back. I found that the cable sleeve has a bracket it's anchored to. The bracket had bent from the pulling force and the sleeve slipped out.
Straighted the bracket, locked the sleeve in place, tested it out a few times, put everything back together.
Works like it should.
