Good deal or not?

Guy wants $1k for this roof-rack & rear ladder

 

I would say, depending on its condition, it is a decent price; that rack is around 1700 new, and ordering from Gobi you're looking at a 6-month wait period

 

If you're really going to use it then the price is good as long as the rack is in good condition. If you're just buying it for show I would save the $1000 and spend it on something else.

 

IMHO I would never buy a new Gobi anything. Way overpriced for white metal tubing.

Used would be the only way to go. FYI, the ladder is like $170 new.

As was said, it you would use it..... maybe. If it is for looks and terrorizing your fuel economy (what little there is already), then spend it on other stuff.
