Default Will 3 ton jack stands hold up a h3?

I want to paint my wheels and I have to take em off. I was wondering if a pair of 3 ton jack stands will be able to hold up the h3? I will be painting two wheels at a time so the h3 will be held up by 2 jacks stands and 2 wheels? Do you think it will work?

I think the h3 is 5000 lb. so lifting one end is about half that.
3 tons is 6000 lb huh.

As long as you do not get under it, you should be ok. If I were going to get under the 3, I'd go with heavier jack stands.

My 3 weighs almost 6000 #.

Max of 3000 lbs on a 12,000 lbs worth of jack stand. More than enough I would think.

1- 3 ton (6,000lbs) jack stand will support the weight of the whole vehicle. Curb weight is 4,700lbs. 2-3 ton jack stands is sufficient when only lifting 1 end at a time. Lift it up, support the vehicle with your jack stands, then give it a shake/push, to find out if it holds, then take your wheels off. GL

Don't forget to chalk the other side of the vehicle that has the tires still on the ground.
