Did you check transmission cooler lines temp with IR(pointed at steel, not rubber)? Did you pull the dipstick, wipe on a white paper towel, and check color & smell?
I haven't checked the cooler lines temp with IR, will do that today and compare to what I am getting on the scanner.
Pulled the dipstick when checking level, color was pinkish and seemed normal, didn't smell burnt or anything. I followed the procedure for hot check, engine running with transmission temp between 180-200F. But then again, I am not sure how accurate my scanner is so I'll have to verify that first and check again.

That thing is HUGE. You planning on towing any gigantic camper trailers or yachts? That will cool the trans for sure, but at a trade off to clean Radiator air. Not sure how much as you also have a hefty gap behind the T cooler.
I would have went smaller (appx 1/2 that size), mounted it lower/off to one side so as to reduce the impact on the Condenser and Radiator, and added a small 6.5" fan to turn on when needed or at low speed (like off road). Even smaller piggyback duals could be used too.
Those Harbor Freight Fare tools do suck. Skip the flare, use double quality 1/2" wide band clamps. If you have time, you could go all out and have custom lines made at any local fluid control shop.
Started to install the bypass cooler, unfortunately flaring tool I have is rubbish and I couldn't get a double flare in my lines. Any suggestions?
Go big or go home! Make sure to have some flare on the line/fitting and use HIGH pressures clamps to hold 400 psi Transmission Oil Cooler Hose >>>Inside the flare! BTW, you may need to replace the fitting on the cooler with an elbow, so the hose doesn't kink/rub on the frame.
I end up getting some 3/8 NPT fittings since I could still do a single 45 degree flare on the line.
Not sure if it was lack of skill or crappy tool, but double flare was not going to happen.. I tried. Had some scrap tubing to practice. I filed it, beveled it, and it just pushed right through the block.. I figured I'll just throw a 3/8 flared nut on the line and do a single flare instead. Butt that against a 3/8 male flare fitting with a barb on the other end.

Practice tubing that was flared, butting up against the flared male fitting. Transmission cooler lines, cut, just before flaring. 3/8 flared nut was placed on the tube before flaring. All connected. Hope they don't leak.

Looks like your radiator will now be getting less air flow.
I think that's obvious anytime you put something in front of the radiator, question is whether or not it'll be detrimental. That is TBD once I put everything back together and take it for a test drive.
