Is there a bearing in the t-case output shaft seal
Is there a bearing in the t-case output shaft seal
I’m looking at photos and videos of the transfer case output shaft rear seal and it looks like the oem part might have a bearing in it. The one I got from autozone does not. Is there supposed to be a bearing in it or not? I’m trying to not find out by removing the seal and having a down truck till finding the part.
if there is, can anyone identify the bearing I need?
#9 (89059495 Supersession(s): 88984500) and #20 (89059515) below are the T Case output "seals" rear and front respectively. #8 is the rear output shaft bushing. Hence, no bearings.
[thanks doc. Can’t believe you’re still here 😅. I was mostly on the hummer x club but remember your postings. I have the number 9 but some photos I see look like it has metallic bearings inside packed w red grease QUOTE=Doc Olds;386566]A seal is a seal, a bearing is a bearing.
