2007 H3, ~158K miles. My right taillight has been blowing fuses on and off for a few months. Recently, both taillights and the radio and HVAC backlights went out, but it is sporadic. They were out for a few days and recently have started working again. Both brake lights still work.

I did a search and found the info about the connector under the bumper and the BCM issues it can cause. I checked that out the connector, it looks pretty rough, cracked and maybe some exposed wire. So my question is, how easy is it to replace this harness, and since my lights are currently working, that would mean that my BCM is intact, correct? Thanks for any help you could provide, right now I can't drive my truck at night because I never know if the taillights will come on.

 

You have a wiring issue not related to BCM function, fix the wires and fix the problem.
