Service Stab Sys, Traction Control, Reduced Power with P0101 code mass airflow sensor
There are a hand full of forums about this issue.
My son's H3 hade this happen.
As I was reading all the posts I have realized my things could cause this issue.
I also realized that no one really posted how the fixed the problem.
everyone always wants to go right to blaming the sensor. Sensors are not there to tell you there bad. The are the to tell you there is a problem in the system. One thing can cause something else to trip.
Bake to the car and how I fixed it.
Vehicle would not rev above 2 grand driving.
Would not go over 30 mph
No power
Idling rough
Hesitation on the throttle response
To me it felt like the car breath. Intake or exhaust, didn't know.
Had an exhaust back pressure test done first to check for exhaust restrictions. Should be 1psi orl at idle and not much variation at open throttle.
My son's was 5psi at idle and pegged the niddle at 20psi at 2 grand.
The way it was checked was by removing ath top o2 sensor puttingand a pressure gauge adapter to it and staring the engine to read pressure in the pipe.
I had a clear sign of a plugged catalytic converter.
Pulled the pipe off at the manifold to check the flow on the first cat. Full throttle response and 0 psi.
My problem was a plugged secondary catalytic converter.
It is running better than when a bought it.
Hope this helps!
