Unhappy Service 4WD alert. Concerning or no?

2008 H3. "Service 4wd" LCD alert comes on and stays on every time I start it up. My mechanic said it was the "transfer case shift motor." They replaced it and said that the "gears were shifting properly..." But, the alert is still there. They said it will go off eventually.. which is not something you ever want to hear your mechanic say. Truck is running great. But my OCD wants to make sure it is nothing serious. Anyone ever deal with this problem?

1) Scan. 2) Unplug the T Case Actuator, clean the connection both sides w/ CRC Electronic Cleaner, re-connect. 3) Inspect the wiring harness to the T Case Actuator.

I guess I will have to get someone else to scan? I do not think the little cheap amazon scanner I have can do anything but read check engine light codes. Sorry for late response. Still dealing w. this issue.

Oh...! Might I also add that 1.) The buttons that allow switching between high and low do not seemingly work. They just flash for a while when I press them and then it returns to a solid light on the regular 4wd button. 2.) The vehicle is lifted pretty high. Not sure if that could be a factor. Seeing that maybe this affected the 4wd system?

Very well could be the switch? Retrieving the code would point you in the right direction.

I suggest ignore since on my rig I get false codes frequently that mean nothing for low tire, what you have here and other sensor misread alerts that over the 15 years on mine mean nothing,

So I ignore them.
