Default Remote start 2006Hummer H3 instal

I’m wondering if anybody has any insight on how to do this, yes I understand that the H3 is complex to install a remote start on but everything I read says “oh yea, I’ve done it.. here’s how” and half the things I need to know are marked n/a. Very frustrating. I think I figured most out but idk where to hook up the starter wire to, and the resistor rig I don’t understand. Would that still be valid if I leave a key in the ignition? Any insight would be very much appreciated!!

My Clifford Remote Start has worked flawlessly for 15 years. I know the place that did the install also had to ad a PASSLOCK bypass module in addition to the remote start. Did you use one of those?

My sweetie had one installed on her H3 (aka Sugar Baby). It was the most frustrating pain in the azz. It was installed professionally b4 she bought her H3 by a previous owner. It never seemed to play nice with the Hummers electronics and on more than one occasion she had a battery go dead. Another thing that was a side affect of that system being installed was her drivers heated seat would stay on and ware down the battery. She stopped using it all together at one point.

But I guess if it were installed by a true professional and not a Best Buy flunky or the like (jmho) it may work really well.

I have a Code Alarm that was installed on my 09 Alpha Off Road by the prior owner (I assume he/she had it done) and it works just fine, but I have no idea what was used or how they did it. I think I have remote started it all of 3-4 times in years. Not needed IMHO.
