You say rude, I say sarcasm is alive an well for those that fail to pay attention to what it is they are posting and where. Pretty darn funny if you ask me, but then again, you didn't. It worked, you now understand the rule and likely will not have an issue in the future.

 

Shouldn’t this thread be closed, given this rule? I personally wonder why these forums don’t just incorporate code that establishes an if then statement such that when a thread reaches a certain age without added (ongoing) input, it gets automatically closed (archived). If you Doc, have to constantly remains people of the rule, I think the trot cause of the issue isn’t people paying attention to the rule, but the way the forums are setup.

 

Well then, go ahead and design the change to the existing forums software, test it in a beta setting, then market it to the owners of this forum so we can use that feature.... because it does not exist right now and I am just a lowly moderator trying to hold off spammers and direct members to keep current instead of trying to talk with people who have not been active in years (no longer exist here).

Your solution is similar to Tire Pressure Monitor Systems/Sensors because people have gotten so friggin dumb they can't LOOK at their tires before driving off instead of gluing their eyeballs on their smart phone screen. People are too enthralled in the phone or other useless crap to actually pay attention to what they are about to do. I would like smart phones to shock the bajezus out of anybody who attempts to look at one while driving their vehicle, that would stop them from doing that as well.

All a person who wishes to post something needs to do is pay attention to what is going on.
