Lightbulb Radiator fail at at the worst time of year...

So my 06 h3 110k on the od, has decided to leak here in the dog days of summer.

Lucky for me its a small leak and I noticed it early and not on a trip.

Being retired now. I can order one and use my bike till parts come in and fix this sucker.

I have changed out many on H3s, it does not get much easier than the swap for the H3. That's a good thing.

Install tip: Make sure to have some 3/8" rubber vacuum caps on hand so when you pop off the Trans Lines you can quickly cap the ends to stop them from dripping all over. You can stick cheap foam ear plugs into the radiator trans cooler holes to stop that from leaking all over.

Good luck.

Default H3 2007 Overheating Issue Solved

My H3 temp. gauge went into the Red and dash gave the message ENG HOT, had towed. After replacing the radiator (was leaking) and thermostat (told was stuck closed) the vehicle now drives just above the halve way mark on that 'idiot' temp. gauge. Also had AC on in stop and go traffic (used to climb above 3/4 mark before) and the needle stayed constant. Outside temperature was 29 C. (rear view mirror reading). Thank you everyone for all your posts on the forum about other H3 issues and of course this one, 'over heating'.

It has been necessary for me to replace the rad in my 07 H3 at least 4 to 5 times since 2011. Each time the pos cracks on top do to heat cycling.
after 2 acdelco, 1 oem gm... finally paid the big bucks at vato zone and got the lifetime one. Have had to replace it already once. At this rate it'll pay for itself in no time lol.

Dang, must be hard to be " happy hummer " with that kind or failure rates...

I feel better now knowing to come this far. My OEM is only leaking a small bit but needs the change. Hope my replacement comes with a warrentee...

If you are retired, you'll have this replaced within three episodes of Matlock. Seriously, it's a pretty easy job on our trucks. I have purchased an AC Delco radiator from Amazon, the current price there is about $255. I'm assuming your H3 is an automatic transmission. If it's a manual transmission, those radiators are discontinued but you can get the automatic transmission radiator and plug the trans cooler ports.

GM Genuine / AC Delco Radiator #22000

You must have missed my post from 12yrs ago>>> Read If Your H3 Radiator Has Cracked or Leaked

My SILLA radiator cost me around $110 shipped to my front door and it's still sealed to this day>>NO LEAK! OEM only lasted 5-1/2yrs.
Btw, my long term success also includes a mod on the upper mount(brass sleeve insert to prevent any flex on the upper tank)
